Christie & Co to accompany the sale of the Ibis Styles Marseille Airport
Christie & Co's Aix en Provence office is pleased to announce the sale of the Ibis Styles Marseille Provence Aéroport hotel. Located in the commune of Vitrolles, in a commercial activity zone in the immediate vicinity of the Marseille Marignane airport, the establishment has been sold to the company Somnoo, accompanied by the investment fund Eternam.
Owned by Turenne Capital since 2013, the hotel was renovated in 2015 and has been operated under the Ibis Styles banner since then.
Somnoo, which operates 45 hotels in France and Germany, seized the opportunity to set up near France's second largest city and its airport, which has passed the 10 million passenger mark in 2019.
Rated 3 stars, the Ibis Styles Marseille Provence Aéroport has 117 rooms, 12 seminar rooms, a restaurant with 70 seats and a swimming pool in a landscaped park of over 2 hectares.
Located in a dynamic sector where companies such as Airbus Helicopters, Eiffage, Air Liquide, Sonépar, etc. are located, it can meet the high demand of both business and leisure customers visiting the region. With the planned extension of the airport to be completed by the end of 2023, the development prospects are significant.
"This easily accessible hotel offers many services and benefits from a location that has allowed it to suffer less from the health crisis than some other establishments in the area. This potential, which Somnoo and Eternam were able to identify, and the economic and tourist recovery that is beginning, augurs a dynamic recovery of the operation", explains Thomas Krynen, South-East Regional Manager at Christie & Co, who led the transaction with Thibault Lebray in the Aix office of Christie & Co.
